CAD Designer (Joinery)

ZetaCADD seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Joinery Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and functional designs for joinery and furniture projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and SWOOD, along with a deep understanding of joinery and furniture manufacturing processes.

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or Furniture Design

Responsibilities

  • Design Development : Collaborate with the project team to develop detailed joinery and furniture shop drawings that meet client specifications and project requirements.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD, Solidworks, IMOS iX and SWOOD to create accurate and precise 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation for manufacturing.
  • Joinery/Furniture Knowledge: Apply expertise in joinery and furniture design principles to create aesthetically pleasing and functional products. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Material Selection: Have a comprehensive understanding of materials used in joinery and furniture construction. Select appropriate materials based on design requirements, functionality, and budget considerations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, project managers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless communication and successful project execution.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively communicate design concepts and ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong English language skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design or Furniture Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Joinery Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, IMOS iX and SWOOD.
  • In-depth knowledge of joinery and furniture manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with a variety of materials used in joinery and furniture construction.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
