An Australia-based furniture company specialising in creating different types of furniture like Beds, Stylish Sofas, Tables, Chairs, etc.
Objective
The Client sought a functional and aesthetically pleasing sofa that complements modern Australian homes, balancing durability with a sleek, minimalist design.
Needs
The Client needs an aesthetically good-looking Sofa with Nesting Functionality for the frame, which gives Good strength as well.
Challenges
- Structural Integrity: Since nesting furniture must withstand frequent movement, withstand impact loads. And additional balancing with roller legs.
- Smooth Nesting Mechanism: Precision measurements ensured that pieces fit seamlessly without excessive friction. Also have design parts that will eliminate material waste during nesting.
- Design Aesthetics: The nested structure was carefully styled to maintain visual harmony when stacked or arranged separately.
Solution
STEP 1: Creating a Model with the required dimension and shape.
- Here, different colours show different materials.
- We are using different materials like PINE, PLY18, PB16 & MDF3 for Better nesting and strength.
- PINE, PB16, Ply18 & MDF3 selected for their stability, strength, and workability in furniture-making.
Step 2: We are doing some Simulation and analysis work to find out the Frame strength and Stability.
Step 3: We provide one Sample nest for this. And Client tested 1.
- Made some modifications according to that and finalised the frame structure.
Step 4: After approving the Sample, we are getting production Files ready with the use of nesting Software.
